In July last year, he was caught on camera playing cricket with housing staff at his mother Rabri Devi's official residence. The next month, he was part of the government as CM Nitish dumped BJP to form the Grand Alliance Ga Government with RJD and others. Chitranjan Gagan, RJD spokesperson, remarked that "sab kuchh thik hai" (everything is "fine").
